NWS Raleigh Tour Policies:

• The minimum age for a tour is 10 years old.

• The tour typically last 45 minutes to an hour.

• Requested tours should be made at least 4 weeks in advance.

• Tours are conducted between 10:00 AM-1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.

• The maximum size of a tour group should follow the guidelines below:

• The maximum size of a individual tour shall be limited to 15 people physically in the office at any given time.

• If the group is larger than 15, we may be able to accommodate back-to-back tours, which could allow up to 30 visitors on one day. However, due to limited staffing these requests cannot always be filled.

• We will respond to the online requests either through e-mail or a telephone call.

• Scheduled tours may be cancelled due to unforeseen staff shortages or an usually heavy workload due to weather. Evening tours may be at greater risk of cancellation/rescheduling due to weather during "thunderstorm season" in April-August. We will call if a tour needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.

• A visitor list shall be provided prior to the group visit. This can be done through the mail, e-mail or submitted with the form below.

• Proof of group affiliation or form of identification will be requested upon your arrival.

• Plan to minimize personal belongings brought into the NWS. Packages, purses, briefcases, etc may be subject to manual search.
